Having performed together at major festivals such as Glastonbury, Standon Calling, Shambala and the Cambridge Club Festival, the band’s acclaimed line-up forged its reputation as the UK’s best disco revue during their 20-years performing as Uncle Funk & The Boogie Wonderband.
After calling time on Uncle Funk in 2020, the seven-piece band immediately took their unrivalled experience, impeccable musicianship, dazzling outfits and effortless showmanship and created Miss Disco.
Anyone who has seen this celebrated group of seasoned musicians perform together over the years will testify that they perform Disco’s Greatest Hits better than any other band in the UK.
It’s a winning formula that is guaranteed to keep everybody’s feet on the dance floor and smiles on faces all night long.
Fronted by the personification of a disco diva, Miss Disco’s astonishing powerhouse lead vocalist Susan Pinky is backed by her long-time partners; Marcus Tinkler (keys & lead male vocal), DC1 (bass), Warren Terror (drums & bvs), Funkin’ Jack Flash (guitar & bvs), Max Blohard (trumpet & bvs) and Randy Blohard (saxophone).
Between them, Miss Disco have recording, performance and touring credits with a truly incredible array of stars, including Amy Winehouse, Take That, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, The Jacksons, Kylie Minogue, Human League, Soul II Soul, Westlife, Jamie Cullum , Beverley Knight, Snarky Puppy, Gregory Isaacs, Dame Shirley Bassey, Dionne Warwick and Rose Royce, amongst dozens of others.
